AI persona testing is reliable for finding confusing copy, missing proof and unclear next steps. It is not reliable for predicting exact conversion rates. Use it to decide what to fix first, then confirm with real visitors.
What "simulated" means
In a RealReaction review, 30 simulated visitors read your page. Each has a different role, device and goal. They are AI-generated, not real people, and the report says so. They do not know your real customers; they react to what is written and shown on the page.
Where it tends to be useful
- Clarity problems. If several personas cannot say what you sell or who it is for, that is a signal worth acting on.
- Trust gaps. Missing pricing, vague claims and no proof points come up repeatedly.
- Objections. The recurring hesitations are a ready-made list for your FAQ and headline tests.
- Before and after. Scores on the same page, before and after an edit, show whether the change helped the panel.
Where to be careful
- Scores are relative. A 75 clarity score is a comparison point, not a conversion rate. Compare your page with its own earlier version and with typical pages of its kind.
- No real behavior. Simulated visitors cannot reproduce price sensitivity, brand familiarity or what a competitor's offer looks like at the moment of choice.
- Single runs vary. Two reviews of the same page can differ by a few points. Look for themes that repeat, not single comments.
- Niche audiences. For a narrow audience, define a custom audience so the panel matches who you actually sell to.
A sensible way to use it
- Fix the objections that appear in many panelists' comments.
- Re-run the review and check that the themes went away.
- Ship, then compare against real analytics and customer feedback.
- Treat disagreements between the panel and real data as a prompt to learn something.
Bottom line
Treat AI persona testing like a fast, cheap first reader: very good at what is confusing, silent on what customers will pay. We do not publish a conversion-accuracy figure because we have not measured one.
